Desert sun.
Dependable power.
Ohmic Solar develops small utility-scale solar farms on under-utilized desert land in San Bernardino County, delivering clean electricity to the Southern California grid.
A specific opportunity in California's high desert.
We're a small, independent developer focused on a specific opportunity: small utility-scale solar projects in California's high desert that are too modest for the giant developers and too complex for residential installers. We acquire land, secure interconnection, navigate California's permitting and environmental review, and deliver fully developed projects to construction.
We work under California's Renewable Market-Adjusting Tariff (ReMAT) and explore alternative procurement programs like SCE's Disadvantaged Communities – Green Tariff (DAC-GT) where the site qualifies.
Strong resource. Real grid. Local team.
San Bernardino County has some of the strongest solar resource in the United States, sits within an IRS-designated Energy Community for purposes of the Investment Tax Credit, and contains thousands of acres of low-conflict private land near existing distribution infrastructure. It's also where we live and work — local development by people who know the ground, the agencies, and the grid.
In active development.
